LCAA
Division 2 All-Stars were named with senior Mark Bennetti earning first
team honors as an offensive back and honorable mention as a punter.
Junior John Whiting earned respect from rival coaches and was named
first team on both the offensive and defensive lines. LCAA
honorable mentions went to senior Justin Becker (offensive end), junior
Marcus Epps (offensive tackle), senior Kevin Brady (defensive line),
and junior Brady Bonacquisti (linebacker).
Bonacquisti etched his name deep into LeRoy football lore by snagging a coveted slot on the 2006 All Greater Rochester team as a linebacker. Brady was one of just 7 underclassmen listed on the talent-rich Super 22 squad. Whiting was placed on the AGR 2nd team as a lineman while Bennetti garnered AGR Honorable Mention status. |

LeRoy
assistant coach Hooks Robertson clutches the game ball dedicated to
him along with the Oatkan Knights' 12th sectional football championship
trophy. The Knights blitzed the Letchworth Indians to take a 21-0 lead,
only to have to fend off a furious Letchworth comeback in the 4th quarter
to preserve the 21-12 victory. The Knights will face Falconer of Section
6 next Saturday afternoon at Ralph Wilson Stadium, home of the Buffalo
Bills, for the Western Region title.
