After several budget defeats and 3 days before football practice was scheduled to begin in August of 1995, the LeRoy community voted to continue sports. On Sunday, November 26th 1995 at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, the community received thanks in a very special manner from the football team. It
was on this day that LeRoy realized its first state football championship as Coach Brian Moran and the Knights completed the most successful season in the history of LeRoy football.
